Site and Facilities Manager


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site and Facilities Manager at Brands Hatch motor racing circuit in Kent, a 400 acre site with over 150,000 sq ft of buildings.

The Site and Facilities Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the entire venue, including the race circuit, public areas, buildings and utilities, to ensure the highest standards of presentation and serviceability for our customers, who attend every day and particularly at the numerous major national and international motor racing events.

The Site and Facilities Manager manages a team of 26 personnel including Maintenance, Venue Cleaning and Security. They also have responsibility for managing a continual programme of improvements to the venue. Estate, venue or facilities management experience is essential and a previous involvement with the events industry would be advantageous.

You will ideally have a minimum of three years industry experience including strong people management skills is necessary. Project budgets and deadlines will need to be set and adhered to. Workload will include planning routine maintenance and improvements, dealing with sub contractors, utilities and support services. Training or qualifications in Health and Safety, fire safety, fire risk assessments and construction site safety legislation are vital.

Critical qualities are intelligence, commitment, strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail to achieve very high standards of venue presentation and an ability to cope under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Working a number of event weekends and bank holidays during the season is essential.

This is a demanding role but one that will be immensely satisfying for the successful applicant who will be responsible for the appearance, facilities and continual upgrading of one of the most famous motor racing circuits in the world.

Applicants must have a relevant degree qualification or qualified by experience and a good standard of written English, with good skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Comprehensive training for the role will be provided.
